PM Description: Ascension Seton Highland Lakes, Burnet, TX, 78611While we are Monday through Friday some flexibility in arrival times would be helpful, as our schedule changes daily.  ACLS,BLS,PALs required.  ASPAN certification would be a plus.DescriptionProvides direct nursing care for anesthetized patients in the immediate post-operative or post-procedural period.ResponsibilitiesFollows aseptic sterile technique according to Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses / American Society of Peri Anesthesia Nurses (AORN/ASPAN) standards.Evaluates patient's responses to treatments and interventions.Manages patient's pain.Anticipates case-specific needs based on knowledge of procedure(s) performed and pathophysiology.

Unit Description: Critical Access hospital - Recovery room has 8 beds on the unit for pre and post.  Department houses 2 FT RN's with 2 RNs in orientation.  General surgery, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Endoscopy, Bronchoscopy, Ophthalmology, specials Cardioversions.  Urology.  May float to pre-op and assist with other duties when slow.  Cerner Compass is the EHR used.Call would be helpful, all of current nurses can float both pre-op and recovery room- if t e candidate could do that then we would require one 5 days a month with ability to pick up more call shifts.While we are Monday through Friday some flexibility in arrival times would be helpful, as our schedule changes daily.  ACLS,BLS,PALs required.  ASPAN certification would be a plus.
