BlueUnit Info: Nursing assignments are made on a shift-to-shift basis that take patient acuity and staff skill level into consideration to ensure each patient receives superior care. Typical nurse to patient ratios range from 1:1 and 2:1 for ICU level patients, and 3:1 for PCU level patientsmixed-acuity, medically-focused unit that provides care for critically ill patients (ICU level care) and acutely ill patients (PCU level care) who require advanced cardiac care.
