Type of staff: Day Shift 1 charge (patient free), 1-3 PCTs (CNA s), occasionally a Clinical Nurse Coordinator as extra resource- typically 4 days a week Night Shift - 1 charge (patient free), 1-2 PCT s, occasionally a Clinical Nurse Coordinator as resource typically twice a week or as staffing allows. Patient Ratios Mixed care- step down patients (spinal fusions, chest tubes, high flow oxygen. We do not do any CPAP, BiPAP or trach/vents in the department, they all go to PICU) are staffed 1:3 and basic care patients are staffed 1:4 Type of equipment - Phillips Monitors EMR - Meditech Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)
