Left Atrial Appendage ClosureJob Duties: Verify package integrity and expiration dates on all sterile supplies. Prepares patient and equipment for utilization of sterile technique. After procedure, prepares equipment/supplies for sterilization.Monitors and records all procedural data and maintains procedural event logs.Provides patient comfort while familiarizing him/her with the equipment and supplies needed for the procedure. Applies the necessary monitors and prepares access site(s) including the necessary sterile drapes.When scrubbing into a procedure, uses sterile and aseptic technique as required for infection prevention.Advocates for radiation safety and protection for self and coworkers. Wears personal radiation dosimeter and takes necessary precautions to limit/minimize patient and staff exposure.Documents fluoroscopy time and radiation doses and evaluates reports to determine if values are within established safety limits.EducationGraduate of accredited radiology program - Education verification requiredCertification / LicensureAART registeredWisconsin State
