General Informationo Beds: 23-24, depending on unito

Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years MedSurg experienceo First-time traveler: Yes

Patient Types: o This is a Float Pool position. Travelers will be required to float to the below units as well as anywhere in the hospital there are MedSurg patients, including ER Holding/Boarding.

•MS1

General Medical Surgical Oncology: will not have to give chemo, but will care for oncology patients and patients receiving chemo Do have some pediatric patients on the floor ( 1 yr. old). No peds experience required, will not take peds patients. Surgical: gallbladder, appendectomies, colectomies, ostomies,

TURPs General Medical: Cellulitis, GI bleeds, CHF, COPD, etc. Outpatient infusions(abx/fluids)o MS2

Ortho/Neuro Observation: chest pain, dizziness, syncope Ortho: total hips, total knees, shoulders. Neuro: spine surgeries, strokes, altered mental status, TIA vs. stroke obs,

•MS2 Cardiac Cardiac post-procedure: cath, TEE, cardioversion. Send for manager approval if no experience with this.

General Cardiac: heart failure, chest pain, cardiac arrythmias
