3X12 NightsThe ED OBS unit consists of 16 beds, 8 beds located on 5B, and 8 beds located on 6B. We provide care for adult patients whose time in the hospital for medically necessary care is expected to span less than two midnights. Most frequent diagnoses include ACS rule out, mild trauma patients, cellulitis w/ IV abx, stroke, head bleed monitoring, COVID PUI and COVID positive patients.ED Observation is a 16 bed unit, with 8 beds on each floor (5B/6B). The RN ratios are the same on both shifts at 1:4. Additionally, there is 1 CNA on each unit with a 1:8 patient ratio. The unit is staffed 24hrs/day with at least 1 Advanced Practice Provider (either NP or PA). We provide direct telemetry monitoring, perform our own EKGs, IV starts, and phlebotomy services.ACLS requiredTelemetry exp preferredAt least 1 yr expUnit accepts 1st-time travelers
