Assignment Details Cardio Thoracic ICU RN needed, 13 weeks with possible extension**Candidates will be caring for step down patients too because they use the universal bed model.**Schedule: 3x12s or 4x12s Every other weekend, floating, and holidays within the contract are required48-hour contracts are available with overtime billed after 48 hours please indicate the candidate's preference at the time of submission.Cannot accommodate block scheduling! Minimum Requirements 2 years experience in an CVICU/CTICU; travel experience preferred Previous travel experience preferredActive Virginia or Compact RN license in hand at the time of submission; no exceptionsMust be proficient in Epic; no exceptions Required SkillsArterial line management; Blood Product Administration; Central line care/management; PICC line management; Starting IVs; Continuous IV sedation; Procedural Sedation Administration; Titrate Cardiac drips; Titrate Vasoactive drips; strong neuro experience required (post brain surgery, EVD exp/ventriculostomy); FloTrac/Vigileo monitoring, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Multi-system organ failure; CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Graft); Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump; Impella; Post Cardiac Surgery (directly from the OR); Post Cardiac Surgery (Not directly from the OR); Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention; Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring; IV insulin protocols; CVVHD/CRRT; CVA/Acute Stroke management; Assist with management of BiPAP, CPAP; Care of Ventilated Patient; High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC); Interpretation of ABGs; Suctioning (ETT, NT); Ventilator Management; Infection Prevention; Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE; Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac Required Certifications BLS (American Heart Association only)ACLS (American Heart Association only)NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Compliance Requirements Chesapeake will not consider candidates with any license or background hits.
