AM Description: **TRAVELER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SELF-STUDYING TELEMETRY STRIPS UPON ACCEPTANCE. A BASIC DYSRHYTHMIA TEST OUT WILL BE GIVEN DURING ORIENTATION. THIS MUST BE PASSED IN ORDER TO WORK IN THIS UNIT.Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members. Effectively interacts with the patient, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing. Provides high quality care to the following patient populations: Geriatric, Medical/Surgical, Adult, and Telemetry. ACLS Required. Estimated work week 36-hours with the possibility of overtime. Every other weekend rotation. Every other holiday rotation may be required. EPIC EMR Experience in a like unit within the last 12 months required.

Unit Description: Candidate will be required to float to units within scope at the West Burlington Campus and may be required to float to our Fort Madison or Henry County campuses at times. Floating may include any non-critical care inpatient units, including to Behavioral Health and the Emergency Department if there are boarded patients. If the traveler has critical care experience, they may be floated to the CCU or ICU.Traveler will be responsible for self-studying Telemetry strips upon acceptance, and a Basic Dysrhythmia test out will be given during the first week of assignment. ACLS Required. Estimated work week 36-hours with the possibility of overtime. Every other weekend rotation. Telemetry Ratios are currently 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights. Med/Surg Ratios are currently 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights. EPIC EMR Experience in a like unit within the last 12 months required.While the traveler will not be part of a regular call rotation, they may be occasionally placed on call during periods of low census. If called in, the traveler is expected to be able to respond and arrive on-site within one hour.
