Can wear navy or black otherwise.Temp to perm is an optionSummary:TheEchocardiogramTechnicianperformsdiagnosticcardiacultrasoundprocedurestosupporttheevaluationandtreatmentofcardiovascularconditions.Operatingundergeneralguidance,thisroleappliesspecializedclinicalknowledgeandindependentjudgmenttoproducehigh-qualityechocardiographicimages.Thetechniciancollaborateswithcardiologistsandclinicalteamstoensureaccurateandtimelydiagnosticsupport.Responsibilities:MeetsexpectationsoftheapplicableOneCHRISTUSCompetencies:LeaderofSelf,LeaderofOthers,orLeaderofLeaders.Performstransthoracicechocardiograms(TTE),stressechocardiograms,andothercardiacultrasoundproceduresperphysicianorders.Appliesknowledgeofcardiacanatomy,physiology,andpathologytoobtaindiagnostic-qualityimages.Ensuresproperdocumentationandlabelingofstudiesinaccordancewithdepartmentalandaccreditationstandards.Worksindependentlyonassignmentsoflimitedtomoderatecomplexitywithgeneralguidance.Exercisesindependentjudgmentwithindefinedprocedurestodetermineappropriateimagingapproaches.Elevatescomplexorunusualcasestoseniortechniciansormanagementforreview.Adherestoestablishedprotocols,safetystandards,andregulatoryrequirements(e.g.,IAC,ASE).Participatesinroutineequipmentmaintenanceandqualitycontrolprocedures.Maintainsaccuraterecordsandcontributestocontinuousimprovementefforts.Interfacesprimarilywithinternalclinicalstaffandpatientsinacustomerservice-orientedmanner.Communicateseffectivelywithreferringproviderstoclarifyordersandensureappropriatestudyselection.Mayassistwithpatienteducationregardingproceduresandpreparation.Performotherrelateddutiesasassigned.Requirements:Education/SkillsGraduateofanaccreditedechocardiogram,cardiovascularsonography,orequivalentprogramrequiredExperience1-3yearsofechocardiographyexperiencepreferredLicenses,Registrations,orCertificationsOneofthefollowingregistrationsisrequiredAdultEchocardiography(AE)RDCSbyARDMSRegisteredCardiacSonographer(RCS)byCCIVascularSonography(VS)byARRTBLSrequiredWorkSchedule:7AM-3:30PMMonday-FridayWorkType:FullTime
