Special Procedures: LDRP with nursery responsibilities. Baby Friendly Facility. RN's are crossed trained to labor and delivery, circulator role, acute care nursery, and OB triage. Our unit also cares for GYN surgery patients . RN's perform their own hearing screenings.

Certificates Required: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP, RN state licensedOur nurses are 1:1 with labor patients 1:2 with cytotec inductions, 1:1 with mag patients, 1:3 with couplet (mother baby) care. If a baby goes to the sick nursery, the RN is 1:1Years of experience required: 2Unit will review 1st time travelers depending on years of experienceFloating: While Prisma Health prioritizes keeping staff in their home unit, agency staff are required to float to other units or campuses as needed. Floating is limited to areas where staff are qualified and have documented competencies.Charting: 1 yr of EPIC experience required
