Deaconess Midtown (IN) campus (8 miles apart) & potential to float to Deaconess Henderson (KY 11 miles). 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.

Back Requirement: N/AWeekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday.Required Certs to be attached upon submittal: Must have current active compact license. AHA BLS, AHA ACLS and NIHSS.Minimum

Experience

REQUIRED: 2 years RN experience, 1 full year of stepdown experience, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience.Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)Patient Population: Cardiac (post cath stents/interventions, pacers), CIWA/BH, Sepsis, DKA, CVA, CPAP, feeding tubes, crani POD 2, GI bleeds, hypothermic/bear hugger.Skillset: REQUIRED- Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation (TRAVELERS ARE REQUIRED TO PASS TELE TESTS), Initiate/titrate drips (antiarrhythmics, Heparin, Insulin, etc.). Post surgical assessment/care. NIHSS/Neuro assessments/dysphagia screen.PREFFERED- Stable home vents, PleurX drain/pericardial drains, lumber drains, VP shunts, Narcan drips. Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills!Hard worker, resilient and manages change well, social candidates.Unit Information: 16 beds; Ratio: Days 1:3-4; NOCs 1:3-4 (1:5 for M/S). CN takes 1:2 patient assignment.Unit Strengths: Fantastic CNA support, very helpful charge nurses, great teamwork.
