HAVE:RN-AZ or compact state licenseACLSBLSWill consider experience in the following areas on a case-by-case basisPACU - ICU - TELEMETRY - CATH LAB - SURGERY CENTERDescription:Admit patientsPrep patients for Cath procedures (charting pre procedurechecklist, IV start, access preparation)Prep patients for Cardioversions (CV),and Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE)Recover patientsfollowing Cath who had conscious sedationSedate, Circulate, and document bedside procedures; CV & TEEDischarge patients (teaching, documentation, and physical discharge)The registered nurse in the Cardiac Observation Unit provides a high level of care for the Cath Lab patients pre and post procedures. Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse. Our Cardiac Observation Unit (COU) is where our patients are prepped for procedures and recovered post procedure. Our team works with high risk, high acuity patients and pride ourselves in superb outcomes. Bedside procedures such as Trans esophageal Echocardiography (TEE) and Cardioversions (CV) are performed in COU. General Comments Position creation reason:Contractor
